Senior Scrum Master - Industrial Operations
Mission:
We’re hiring a Senior Scrum Master who goes beyond team-level facilitation to operate as a systems thinker. Joining our logistics and trade compliance organization, you will align delivery across multiple teams and departments, reshaping how we plan and deliver logistics technology while embedding a culture of continuous improvement. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of operations and technology.
You will create clarity and momentum across engineering (software, hardware, firmware) and business, ensuring that plans, dependencies, and governance fit together into a coherent, end-to-end delivery system within a regulated environment.
What will be your responsibilities:
Enable delivery across multiple teams by facilitating ceremonies, and scaling agile ways of working beyond team boundaries.
Collaborate with other Scrum Masters across products and departments to harmonize practices, share learnings, remove systemic impediments, and drive continuous improvement at an organizational level.
Connect products, operations and business stakeholders to ensure aligned priorities, timelines, and common understanding of constraints.
Actively surface, track, and resolve cross-team dependencies (including hardware lead timelines), risks, and integration bottlenecks.
Create organizational transparency by ensuring release visibility, milestone readiness, and "plan vs. reality" delivery insights for stakeholders.
Build high-performing resilient teams by creating psychological safety, resolving conflicts and building scope ownership.
Profile and requirements:
• 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting multiple teams
• Strong grasp of Scrum and agile principles; ability to adapt practices to teams’ needs.
• Experience with scaling frameworks (e.g., Scrum of Scrums, Nexus, LeSS and SAFe) is a plus.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to see and improve the broader organizational system (governance, dependencies, flow and resourcing).
• Proven track record leading agile transformations at scale, ideally in logistics, supply chain, or operations.
• Experience in regulated/compliance-driven environments, balancing agility with required controls and evidence generation.
• Excellent facilitation and conflict-resolution skills who can navigate ambiguity and drive alignment to reach consensus and decisions.
• Use metrics (e.g., flow, predictability, quality) pragmatically to improve outcomes rather than be a ceremony facilitator.
• Hands on experience with Jira (and JQL) and Confluence.
• Certifications are a plus, but real-world Agile and scaling experience matters most.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese
• BSc in engineering (any discipline), computer science, or mathematics. Or A non-engineering degree combined with strong, demonstrable technical experience — for example, several years as a developer, systems engineer, or technical lead before moving into a Scrum Master role.
Preferred Experience:
• Hands-on experience transforming logistics, transportation, customs, trade compliance or warehousing technology programs.
• Familiarity with 24/7 operational constraints and real-time supply chain systems.
• Experience setting up Agile Centers of Excellence or coaching communities of practice.
• Background bridging operations and technology in a large, complex organization.
What we have to offer you
• A dynamic and collaborative working environment, with the opportunity to make a real impact
• A competitive salary package, aligned with your proven level of experience
• Meal allowance and health insurance for employees
• Shuttle transport service to the offices in Leiria, Caldas da Rainha and Ponte de Sor
• Bonus in line with company policy
• Access to the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
