Mission:
Weโre hiring a senior Product Owner to lead product direction and delivery for a software platform that interfaces with, and controls hardware devices. Youโll own the roadmap and backlog across a couple of teams, aligning priorities, dependencies, and releases to deliver reliable, end-to-end system. Youโll work closely with software and hardware engineering teams and business stakeholders to translate strategy and customer needs into clear requirements, measurable goals, and executable plans; while ensuring delivery meets regulatory and compliance expectations (e.g., traceability, validation, documentation, audit readiness).
What will be your responsibilities:
Own and evolve the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for a software platform that interfaces with, and controls hardware devices.
Manage and continuously refine the backlog across multiple teams, aligning scope, sequencing, and dependencies.
Collaborate with architects and tech leads on solution direction, trade-offs, and sequencing; to ensure architectural runway, integration considerations, and non-functional requirements are reflected in the roadmap and backlog.
Continuously assess and prioritize platform health work (e.g., stability, performance, maintainability, reliability) alongside new capabilities, making transparent trade-offs with stakeholders and reserving capacity for refactoring and risk reduction.
Own what goes into the Sprint, ensuring scope and priorities are clear, achievable, and aligned with delivery goals.
Translate business and customer needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
Drive planning and execution with engineering teams (software, hardware and embedded/firmware), ensuring end-to-end system behaviour is understood and delivered.
Act as the primary interface between engineering and business stakeholders, facilitating trade-offs, expectation management, and timely decision-making.
Ensure delivery in a regulated environment: maintain requirements traceability, support risk management, ensure documentation/validation readiness, and help teams stay audit-ready.
Coordinate release planning across teams, including change control, versioning, and communication of scope and timelines.
Monitor product performance and quality signals (reliability, diagnostics/telemetry, incidents/defects) and steer continuous improvement.
Profile and requirements:
At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Product Owner (or closely related product role) delivering complex, technical software products.
Strong software/computer science background (or a closely related technical field) and the ability to engage deeply with engineering discussions.
Experience working with 3rd party software integration and API management.
Proven track record of supporting multiple teams simultaneously and managing cross-team alignment and delivery.
Comfortable collaborating with both hardware and software engineering teams, and communicating effectively with business stakeholders at different levels.
Experience delivering in regulatory/compliance-driven environments, with understanding of practices such as traceability, verification/validation, risk-based thinking, documentation, and release governance.
Strong product execution skills: prioritization, writing high-quality user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and driving iterative delivery.
Experience with hardware-adjacent software domains (e.g., IoT, industrial systems, robotics, automotive, medical devices) is a strong plus.
Clear communicator with a pragmatic, structured way of working and a bias for outcomes.
Certifications are a plus, but real-world product ownership experience matters most.
Fluent in English; Portuguese is a plus.
Education background:
BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related technical field.
What we have to offer you:
An excellent work environment and an opportunity to make a difference;
Salary Compatible with the level of proven experience.
