If you're passionate about technology and eager to shape the future — TEKEVER is the place for you.
Mission:
oin Tekever Space’s Embedded Flight Systems Team, responsible for producing, covering, and qualifying software and HDL up to TRL 9. This role targets engineers with deep signal processing expertise plus solid FPGA implementation knowledge, able to turn models into robust implementations backed by strong evidence and qualification-grade documentation.
This team operates with a process-based mindset expected in critical industries such as space, defense, and medical. The ideal candidate is comfortable with structured project-driven development and, ideally, has hands-on experience with ESA/ECSS processes (or equivalent rigorous standards).
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement advanced signal processing algorithms for space communication systems (synchronization, estimation, timing recovery, framing, equalization, integration with coding/FEC chains).
Convert models (Python/MATLAB/Simulink) into implementation-ready designs for FPGA and/or embedded targets, ensuring fidelity and reproducibility.
Perform and document system trade-offs: fixed-point strategy, latency/throughput budgets, numerical sensitivity, resource utilization, verification risk.
Support validation and testing on flight hardware: test planning, evidence generation, debugging, and anomaly resolution.
Produce qualification-grade documentation: requirements, architecture, design descriptions, verification reports, traceability artifacts.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders (RF, PCB, test, systems) to ensure robust end-to-end performance and compliance.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development and verification processes.
Core Requirements (3+ years in core skills)
3+ years experience in communications signal processing engineering, with demonstrated implementation awareness (FPGA constraints, fixed-point, real-time validation).
Strong communication theory background and ability to reason from algorithm to hardware/software implementation.
Experience in Python and/or MATLAB/Simulink for simulation and model-based design.
Experience with Git and disciplined engineering practices for traceability and maintainability.
Strong technical communication skills; advanced proficiency in English being a conversational level of Portuguese strongly valued.
Nice to Have
Prior work in critical applications (space/defense/medical) with process-based SW/HDL development.
Comfort with ESA/ECSS processes and typical project-driven activities (reviews, milestones, verification evidence, traceability).
Experience with CCSDS / DVB-S2 (or strong comparable standards background).
X-in-the-Loop validation and automated test strategies integrated into qualification flows.
