Mission:

Responsible for the daily operation of the Flight Information Service at West Wales Airport, ensuring compliance with CAA regulations and local procedures.

What will be your responsibilities:

• Conducting basic flight planning tasks.
  
• Liaise with Government Agencies when required
  
• Be an active part of the FISO team and assist with administrative duties.
  
• Attend operational flight planning briefings with based operators.
  
• Review Airport quality manuals.
  
• Provide unofficial MET observations.
  
• Conduct airfield inspections and report unserviceabilities.
  
• Assist with NOTAMs and aerodrome information updates.
  
• Support the training of new FISOs.
  
• Liaise with RFFS to ensure adequate coverage.
  
• Manage ATS email and PPR admin.
  
• Coordinate refuelling and handling services.
  
• Attend relevant training courses.
  
• Duties may evolve based on operational needs.

Profile and requirements:

• CAA FISO Licence.
  
• SC Clearance Mandatory
• ROCC (Radio Operator Competence Certificate).
  
• Full UK Driving Licence.
  
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Previous experience as an Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO) – civilian or military.
• Previous experience as a Flight Information Service Officer (FISO).
• Holder or former holder of a pilot’s license (LAPL/PPL or commercial).
• Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
