What will be your responsibilities:
End-to-end mechanical and electrical integration of ISTAR mission-aligned payloads such as Gimbals, Radars, Satcoms, Radios and other mission-related payloads onto the aircraft.
Constant prototyping and validation of ideas and concept
Define and document the physical and logical interfaces between the aircraft and the mission sensors.
Design and oversee the manufacturing of custom mounts, wiring harnesses, and cooling solutions for mission payloads.
Ensure that high-power mission sensors (like maritime radars) do not interfere with the aircraft’s navigation or communication systems.
Participate and oversee ground and flight testing to troubleshoot sensor performance and data link reliability in real-world conditions.
Profile and requirements:
Academic background in Physics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
2-5 years of experience in design, integration and implementing related systems;
You are comfortable working across domains - multidisciplinary
Technical Toolkit:
3D CAD proficiency (Solidworks, Catia, or similar)
Knowledgeable about fabrication methods like 3D printing, machining and molding
Hands on experience with electronics (multimeters, oscilloscopes, and PCB troubleshooting)
Exposure to communication protocols in embedded systems (CAN, RS-232/422, i2C and related ones)
Experience with drone building (valued)
Advanced knowledge in Portuguese (C1) and English (B2)
