Mission:
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior or Principal Engineer to serve as the technical authority for aircraft loads and aeroelastics. This is a pivotal role where you will lead the end-to-end development cycle; from model development and validation to the prediction of flutter and the computation of flight and (ideally) ground loads for the whole aircraft
As a senior member of the multi-disciplinary team, you won't just execute tasks; you will provide the technical vision and direction necessary to ensure our aircraft meets the highest standards of safety and performance.
What will be your responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Direct the development and validation of complex aeroelastic models.
Load Computation: Lead the calculation of flight and ground loads for the entire aircraft structure.
Quality Assurance: Author and approve critical technical reports.
Mentorship: (For Principal level) Guide and develop the technical skills of junior engineers within the team.
Profile and requirements:
Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in aerospace or defense, specifically focused on loads and aeroelastic behavior
Education: Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable).
Modelling Expertise: Proven track record in aeroelastic modelling; experience with landing gear systems modelling is a significant advantage.
Strategic Mindset: Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks within budget and timescales while maintaining high technical standards.
Security Clearance: Must currently hold, or be eligible to obtain, UK SC (Secret) Clearance.
Analytical Rigor: A meticulous approach to result-checking and attention to detail.
Communication: Ability to translate complex technical data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
Adaptability: A proactive desire to embrace new processes and drive continuous improvement in engineering methods.
Agility: Comfortable leading in a fast-paced development environment where requirements and threats can evolve rapidly.
What we have to offer you:
An excellent work environment and an opportunity to make a difference;
Salary Compatible with the level of proven experience.
