Mission:

We’re looking for a skilled Software Developer to join our team, working on an innovative desktop application project, able to leverage AI-powered coding tools to accelerate software development. This role offers a chance to grow into the position, starting with supporting our current platform to gain a strong understanding of the business logic and workflows.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn and Support: Start by supporting the existing WPF-based system to understand its architecture, functionality, and how it serves business needs. 
• Develop Features: Transition into developing backend features for a modernized WPF desktop application, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance. 
• Utilize AI-driven coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, KodeAI, and similar platforms) to write, optimize, and maintain code.
• Streamline Workflows: Collaborate with development teams to integrate AI-assisted workflows into existing processes
• Data Handling: Manage real-time data processing and integration, ensuring seamless communication between backend and UI components. 
• Collaborate: Work closely with UI developers to deliver cohesive and user friendly desktop solutions.
• Optimize Performance: Identify and resolve performance issues in both backend logic and integration.
• Ensure code quality, security, and compliance with best practices

What We’re Looking For: 

• Experience: Experience in backend development, with a focus on C# and .NET; 
• Architecture knowledge: Having a broad view on the results and ability to analyse the steps for better achievements; 
• Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of programming concepts and software development lifecycle; Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Agentic Coding: Knowledge in the use of AI tools for coding, reviewing and correcting;
• Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and solve problems using AI-driven approaches;
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. 

Location: Able to work Hybrid in Lisbon's office or Caldas da Rainha.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Windows desktop application development in WPF.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot, KodeAI, or similar AI coding assistants.
• Knowledge of multiple programming languages at a conceptual level.
• Interest in emerging AI technologies and their application in software development.
