What will be your responsibilities:
- Procurement
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery time, and service.
- Negotiate orders and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and ensure value for money.
- Issue purchase orders and monitor inventory levels to ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier improvement.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices, and other important data.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., finance, operations, legal) to ensure clear understanding of procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Manage vendor relationships, evaluate performance, and resolve issues related to quality or delivery.
- Monitor budgets and support financial planning and reporting
- Receiving Operations
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing lists to ensure accuracy;
- Unload, sort, and store materials or products in designated areas within the warehouse;
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with received goods;
- Maintain accurate records of received shipments in the inventory management system.
- Shipping Operations
- Prepare and package goods for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation;
- Coordinate with carriers or couriers to schedule pickups;
- Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure they meet quality and order specifications;
- Generate shipping documents such as packing lists, transport documents and dangerous goods declarations.
- Inventory Management
- Perform inventory counts and cycle checks to ensure accuracy in stock levels;
- Update the inventory system with real-time data on received and shipped items.
- Equipment and Safety
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required;
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of goods;
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with health and safety standards.
Profile and requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a logistics, warehouse, procurement or shipping/receiving role;
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and documentation;
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment;
- Dangerous Goods Certification for ADR/IATA will be considered a plus;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills;
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and records;
- Language Requirements: Advanced proficiency in English, with proven fluency at the C2 level;
- Team player and strong communication skills;
- Proficiency in inventory and warehouse management systems is a plus.
